Vermiculite

   

       Vermiculite is a non-toxic natural mineral that expands at high temperature. It is a relatively rare mineral, categorized to the silicate. Its crystal structure is in the form of a monoclinic system,with the appearance of a mica. Vermiculite is formed when granite hydrates. Because the ability of ion exchange, vermiculite has a great effect on soil nutrition.

       Vermiculite is mainly used in the fields of agriculture, environmental protection and building materials. In recent years, its use has been widely applied to the fields of construction, metallurgy, shipbuilding, petroleum, environmental protection, heat preservation, heat insulation, insulation and energy-saving .

       In animal husbandry, expanded vermiculite has unique structural characteristics and surface properties, non-toxic, sterile and chemically inert, could be used as a carrier, adsorption agent, fixing agent and feed additive.

       Vermiculite can also be used as a filler of friction materials, to play the role of reinforcing agent and heat stabilizer. Brake pads made of vermiculite has great heat resistance,shear strength and bending strength, exerting a superior braking effect. Spiceries using vermiculite as the flavor oil carrier have the characteristics of long duration.
